Anyone had experience of the Mam Tor route on this link?
Wanting somewhere different next week, not sure what the conditions will be like either.

It'll be a bit muddy on Mam Tor and the descent from Hollins Cross into Edale.Cavedale,if its wet,can be like riding a river but its one of the most technical descents in the area.

How does Cavedale decent compare to 'the beast' near Ladybower?
I'll be going on my own, even though I like a challenge I'm not wanting to be stranded with broken bones :P

Cavedale is steeper and much more technical than the Beast.Unlike the Beast there's no edges to get away from the rocky stuff. When wet It's worse but really it's OK if you're used to riding the area.
Avoid at Weekends if the sun is out as you won't get a good run.

I'll be going on Tuesday once I drop the missus off at Meadowhall.
Just wanted somewhere close to Meadowhall/Sheffield that I could go for a few hours rather than wondering around Top Shop eight times.
