So, I took up mountain biking about a year ago and built up a nice little custom Vitus hardtail.... Work commitments meant that I was using it very seldomly so I purchased a road bike instead (first one about a month ago)

This was it.... 2015 Vitus Razor VRS:

got a little bargain on this - paid £250 and eventually sold it for £300 :D

I felt it wasn't racey enough so I got this (after a couple of weeks of owning the Vitus)....

2015 Cube Peloton SL Compact:

The guy I got it off hadn't done much on it, hence its condition - like new. It also came with some nice little upgrades such as Lizard Skins bar tape, FSA 44cm bars, FSA stem and Ultegra brakes front & rear.

It's like night and day compared to anything else I've ridden (albeit the modest experience that I have). I couldn't be happier with this little bike.

Now its just about time to start racking up the miles.

But does the yellow get dirty easily?

It does unfortunately - had my first run out with it today. Quick wipe and it was as good as new though

    Cube Pelotons are great bikes.

Bar tape is very marmite though

Typically, I got a flat on the mavic's maiden voyage and as a mature 27 year old man, I had to be rescued by my mum :P

    Looks great though.

I've five spare tubes and not one of them have valves long enough to fit through the deep section rims....

Only a trip to the bike shop led to my understanding of 'valve extensions' - GREAT JOB!

All fixed up and ready for a 40miler tomorrow!

Now it looks very likely you need a bike fit going by the look of the setup, unless you're very old or injured.

I would guess this is reference to the seat height/angle, bar height and angle and stem length/height which to the boy racer looks a little sit up, for me it's what works best for you. Enjoy the bike.

Personally, i would switch the yellow cages and bar tape back to black. I think they look out of place!

    Love the wheels though

Couldn't disagree more - I'm a big fan of flo yellow lol
