Hi,
I'm a A Level Product Design student making a bike rack. Any feedback on the finished product would be great to add into my evaluation pages. The deadline is Tuesday so anything quick would be great. It is supposedly a product made for Rapha so stuff to do with the image of Rapha and RCC would be good as well.
This is the initial design brief: The product will be a form of bike rack or holder. This will not only store a bike but accessories as well. The needs of the user require the product to be as small as possible whilst also taking advantage of the small floor spaces available.
You can have a look at the pictures on this link:

Thanks

if you also cut a slit for the tyre in the bottom the bike would fit closer to the cupboard and save more space and also would mean you could "park" the bike horizontally like a normal bike rack if you wanted.
also, nice table cloth!www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0 -
Looks great but I'm not sure how this would fit my home. It looks fine sitting there in free space but if I imagine now actually use it, seems like it would use up a lot of space when the bike is racked up.
If you put it against a wall the bike will stick out quite a bit and the storage would have to be accessed from the side. It can't fit sideways against the wall as the handle bars would get in the way and it wouldn't fit flush.0 -

the bike needs to go much further into the cupboard unit so it takes up less space (i.e. doesn't stick out into the room so far), at least right up to the bottom bracket, so storage units either side of the bike. At the moment it's a cupboard with a bike attached to it, needs to be more integrated.
Isn't that 'chock' supposed to be on the other side of the wheel? rather than someone holding the bike in placeAll lies and jest..still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest....0
