Speaking of brakes I spend half a day yesterday mangaling my front caliper. Only one pivet was working so had to take it to pieces and give a good clean/grease. One particular bolt was giving me some gip so went after it with a hacksaw and a pair of pliers. Only started to budge after I'd immersed the calipers in water for an hour. It's working great now for a Frankenstein caliper.

    You what?

    For a stethoscope?

    Heals people by itself.

Parts to repair steth are only £12, but annoying as I have to order them and I need it now. Will dig out spare.

But $630 for those brakes? Blimey, hope they're good.

it's vulgar to discuss money, i'd only spend it on wine or pineapple anyway

they are remarkably good brakes, only downside is they're black not silver and therefore lose points on shininess

do they make stereo stethoscopes? i.e.two ends so you can better pinpoint inner gurglings

Agree - discussing money is so nouveau. It's what bankers and estate agents do.

What colour did you go for? What are they going on? Any pics of norks?

That is utterly sweet. Lovely. The black brakes will work due to the phat carbons and other bits of black.

I'll let you off on this one occasion if you confirm that didn't pay full retail.

Whats with the massive head tube - are you mega tall?

    Black bar tape maybe?

Some really dope leather stuff will look lovely, especially when it's worn in.

prefer the white, it's the fizik one that doesn't get stained, i ride all weathers so for most of the year it's had regular drenchings, that keeps it clean too!

used to have white hoods with the old levers, but none available for etap levers so far

if i last to oap/completely knackered state, i'll probably put the cable bosses back on and rebuild the frame retro style, it's stainless so barring physical damage should go on pretty much forever

I can't see anything wrong with that at all.

I've left you my broken steth and Andycp has a signed picture of Dirk coming his way.

Talking of which, where is he? Haven't seen anything from him for ages.
