Kickr replacement Belt - this one?
So my first generation kickr needs a new belt.
The ones sold by Wahoo are about £55 - they are a car timing belt 170T, 850-5M-15
This appears to be the same https://www.bearing-king.co.uk/bearing/850-5m-15-timing-belt/11061
Its a fiver. Is it the same? Cheers

For a £50 saving, it has to be worth a shot. Worst case, send it back.
So the Kick-R isn't quite as "direct" drive as the Neo? Is the belt why the early ones, at least, whine?ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -
Yeah that was my thought - its a fiver worth a punt.
This comparison shows the Kickr to be have an awful whiny sound https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2iGV6VYBKY
Whether I've got used to the sound or the acoustics are better in my basement but the noise isn't bothersome on mine. And now it is so quiet.

So you got it and it worked?0

I think it's still busted - hence the quiet (and the )ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0

That link given from 2008 doesn't work for me, but just snapped my belt!
Is this the same/correct belt??

No!
You need lt 170T, 850-5M-15
That one is 850..

That one is 850.
Confused :?
That link saysPIX HTD Timing belt 850mm pitch length 15mm wide 5mm pitch 170 teeth, also know as HTD850-5M-15
So 170 Teeth. and you say I need 850-5m-15 and that says 850-5m-15!!
So what "bit" is incorrect ??0 -
My mistake- you are correct..

So, was this a winner in the end? The belt on my kickr states: 5m 170T 15. I assume this would be compatible with that in the last link in the thread?

I’m looking to buy a spare and this seems perfect. Thanks for any feedback.0 -
Yes worked fine. If you want to buy the one recommended by Wahoo this is the exact same one but much much cheaper
