Canti boss knackered?
Hi while fitting some mini v brakes to my cx bike iv'e noticed one of the metal plates at the base of the canti boss that secures the spring on one side is rotating so the spring can't tension up
Its the small metal plate at the base of the boss and it just rotates around.....
The thingy in the centre of this pic
Might explainn why the canti brakes were so terrible before & have never seemed worked properly since I bought the bike second hand. (I always assumed ir was because cantis were just kind of rubbish hence then not working well....)
Anyway to fix this without buying new forks?
Try to to glue it or something?

A framebuilder might be able to braze the loose piece back into place but that will mean touching up the paintjob.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

Its a carbon fork so braze it to the canti boss?
Do cx bosses screw in/out of forks thus can be replaced or are they bonded into the forks?
Found a place selling them....
