Have no idea what caused it but both my Giant and the metal post it was locked to are burned A.F. I know bicycles have oils and lubes but how does an entire bicycle burn up like that! Well pissed off, glad it wasnt my carbon one or my full suspension MTB.

Can't help if it was locked up I'm afraid; the only occasions I've had bicycles spontaneously catch fire is when I'm sprinting up a steep hill and putting too many watts in for the bike to handle0

Its the hidden Li-ion battery for the secret 'mechanical doping' motor.....
Or was there another Li-ion battery, there is nothing else that could cause what you describe on a bike.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -

Was the metal post it was chained to a lamp post by any chance? Could be a source of power once the timer kicks in if some scrote had been messing with it.Rose Xeon CDX 3100, Ultegra Di2 disc (nice weather)
Ribble Gran Fondo, Campagnolo Centaur (winter bike)
