Scott Scale 60 Headset bearing shattered

Hi Guys,
Firstly thank you for your time and advice. I'd like some advice on how I would repair my Scott Scale 60 headset bearings as one of them has recently shattered and caused a bit of damage to the tube, deep scratches on the actual tube and even more where the ballbearings sat. The metalwork inside the frame all looks smooth and intact. (images below). Would it be as simple as buying new headset bearings and putting it back together?
Thanks,
Eddzzz

Yes. Some scratches on the steerer won't be a problem.I don't do smileys.

I wouldn't buy just new bearings but a full headset and replace the cup and races as well.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

looks like 1 and 1/8th, straight steerer, but can't tell if conventional or internal.
