Headset press

Hi.
I am looking to buy a headset press for a tapered head tube. Having looked around the only reasonably priced one is the Park tool HHP3 which is £50 for a relatively basic design.
Is there any better alternatives out there?
Dont want to go down the old wood/mallet idea as it will be fitting a headset on £2000+ worth of carbon frame plus odd jobs for my mates which have carbon frames.
Thanks

Hammer and a block of wood.
Most LBS will only charge a fiver for fitting so that's ten bikes before you pay for the tool!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -

I made one with these and some plastic discs to use under the washers to protect the frame.
Surely there is some other brand that will make them x-tools maybe?
