First Road Bike - Raleigh Clubman v SP Elite Carbon

Hi All,

Hoping to get some advice on the best option for me,

I am a beginner level cyclist aiming to complete 100 miles in 4 months!

I have narrowed down my choice to the Raleigh Clubman and the Raleigh SP elite Carbon

Both work out roughly the same price <1k. With the SP slightly cheaper.

I love the look of the clubman and the main compromise (steel v carbon) seems to be weight!

Any advice or tips would be appreciated!!

Gonna take a look at them options now,

Just back from a test cycle with the clubman and the carbon. Really like the feel of both!

Clubman wins on looks though

I quite like the look of the Clubman, with the possible exception of the sit-up-and-beg stem and the hideous Tiagra chainset.
