SRAM Red 22 front mech compatibility
Hi,
I've bought a new frame and I'm in the process of transferring parts over from my old one. My old bike has a SRAM Red 22 front mech attached with the SRAM band on adapter, my new frame has a braze on attachment. What do I need to attach the mech to the new frame? Simply using the screw from the band on adapter doesn't work as it is too long and a shorter screw doesn't allow correct positioning. Looking at pictures it appears that I am missing some sort of curved washer, can I simply buy a cheap Rival 22 braze on mech and salvage the part from that or can I get the part I need on it's own?
Thanks in advance, Mark

Any SRAM braze on front derailleur will work, but best results will be with a Yaw (22) one.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0

The radius washer is also included in most chain catcher kits. Much cheaper and by all means throw the chain catcher in next doors garden after using the washer.

if you need a curved washer, simplest is to ask at your lbs
or you can buy...
