Bluetooth LE Cadence Sensor for Android

I'm starting to get into road biking and find keeping my cadence around 90 to be doable if I have a sensor but difficult to do by feel alone. So I'm looking for some kind of reasonably priced cadence sensor. I also like to keep my friend posted (we try to motivate each other and have friendly competitions) so something that works with Strava is a plus but not necessarily required.
Got a new smartphone so I'm thinking of using the old one (HTC M7) to track my fitness. I see two benefits to doing it this way:
1) Hopefully it saves me from buying a Garmin 520.
2) If I take a good spill than I won't smash a phone I care about.
Doesn't look like the phone is ANT+ enabled so I think Bluetooth is the way to go (unless there's an easy and cost effective way to get ANT+).
Any recommendations on cadence sensors? Would like to keep it under $100 (I'm in Canada so pounds are something you lose from physical activity not from spending too much time on bike forums over here)

I got one of these https://www.aliexpress.com/item/MAGENE- ... 20773.html to stick on my turbo bike - for complicated sensor-shuffling reasons it was good to have at least one sensor that would do BTLE & ANT+ (and be usable for cadence or speed). Does the business perfectly in all situations I've needed so far.0

I bought a bontrager one. I was in the lookout for a cheap cadence and speed sensor for the turbo. The Garmin one was nearly £50 IIRC, and I managed to get the bontrager one for around £30.0

I just got one of these cheap bluetooth sensors off Amazon:

Been using it for about 1.5 years in all kinds of weather and it still works fine.0
