Hydraulic Disc Groupset shortage?!

Hi, long time lurker first time poster! I'm looking to buy a hydraulic disc groupset for a build, but really struggling to find the kits for sale. Wiggle, CRC, Ribble etc have nothing, the only ones I can find are a couple of Shimano at Evans and Merlin but they don't have the correct components, or a SRAM set from Germany.
Does anybody know if there's a supply problem or new models due out? Thanks

I discovered the same .... was going to build a 1x11 hydraulic CX but trying to find the correct bits was so had and when I did find them all individually from about 5 different sites the price so so high, it was cheaper to go buy a bike with the gear already on it0

Thanks for the replies, yes I'm seriously considering buying a complete new bike from Paul's Cycles to strip and then sell on the frame and fork, just seems a crazy way to do things. Did have a look at Tredz and every other online shop I could think of but no joy for the full groupset!
Bit O/T but if your still after a 1x11 CX hydraulic, bike 24 have a decent selection.0 -
Speak to Madison, speak to Fisher Outdoor. They will confirm the supply situation.0

Available or not the prices now are ridiculous0

Have you considered trying to source TRP Hylex brakes and then buy a groupset including bar end shifts, as used with the (2015?) fluro yellow Pinnacle Arkose 2?
I appreciate it's a Marmite alternative solution.;)================

I did look into that but for some reason I quite like hood-controls. If MTBike trigger shifter fitted on drop bars, that would be an interesting option, but a silly diameter incompatibility makes it difficult to do without risky machining of the parts.
Don't like bar-ends, I'd rather go downtube, but downtube shifters don't go on modern large tubed frames...left the forum March 20230 -

Facebook? No. Just say no.0 -
The solution here is probably to buy a non-disc groupset and then also a set of disc brakes and shifters. Then sell off the unused non-disc shifters and the brake calipers.
Doesn't seem to be much availability for full hydro groupsets at the moment.0 -
I bought a full hydraulic SRAM force groupset from Fudge Cycles, good value for money too.

with prices a 20% fall in the pound vs dollar does not help. Just checked groupsets all available from madison. In fact I have a group here not exactly scarce.
It not that hard go an talk to a proper shop there is probably one local to you or use the phone.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0 -

Why groupset?
Just as generally they save money! I have a frame that's completely bare so need everything.0 -
Have you asked your local LBS.I have just had a complete SRAM 1x 11 system fitted by Wheelspin in Huddersfield. He ordered an APEX System for me.Delivered in 2 days.As it happened the Apex in 1x11 is so new the suppliers hadn't got it all in stock so I got a free upgrade to Rival chainset and rear derailleur, bonus! All for £500 the same as Bike24 in Germany who seem to have a full range on their website. So far I am seriously impressed with it.0

I heard the new dura ace disc keeps getting put back0

It's almost like the manufacturers want you to buy a whole new bike rather than upgrade the one you have. Hmmmm...0

I had the same problem last summer, ended up buying a regular Di2 Groupset at 900 odd quid and then the brakes at 200 quid an end and selling the unneeded stuff from the group. Bit of a ball ache but the best was to do it at the time.0

Well problem solved, was kindly offered a good deal by a member on some new hydraulic shifters and calipers removed from a new bike and surplus to requirements. It's strange all the big shops have the hydraulic kit separately for big money but no stock of the groupsets. As mentioned its as if they want you to have to buy everything separately at more cost.0
