I'm currently running my CAADX with 35mm conti cx speed kings.

I'm training for a 220km ride and think that this may be the best bike to train and do the ride on as my other bikes, cinelli experience and ribble stealth, are set up quite aggressively.

What tyres would be the best option for this?

  • Anything fast. Are you still on the same wheels?

  • Yes, still on the stock wheels that came with it. I am aware they are heavy but not in a position to change them at the minute.

I'd imagine that training on a heavier bike with more rolling resistance is better. When you switch to your racier set up bikes you will feel like you're flying. Especially if you shave your legs! :D

Only question for me would be around back and neck muscles adjusting to a more aggressive riding position.
  • I'd be thinking about Schwalbe G-One speed. Good all round tyre for a multitude of things. Not cheap mind.
