Currently Using Conti GP4000 28's , great and good comfort TTPI 330 but want bigger volume.
also used gatorskins which are a bit bigger ( 32's ) but bit stiffer and I want a decent TPI i.e. 330 +

Wish there was a GP4000 in a 32 width !

Anyway I understand the GP 4 Seasons are good ? And they do do a 32mm width, anyone using them ?

Also used S/be G-one's but incredibly difficult to remove , don't really do ' gravel' and want a faster tyre

Challenge Strada ?

Appreciate I have particular needs but Any thoughts would be appreciated

Cheers

Challange strada bianca 30mm. I mounted some to a kinlin rim the other day 19mm internal width and they were 32mm wide. Oddly on a velocity aileron which is 1mm wider they were 1mm narrower. Anyway these are by far the most puncture resistant and durable race tyres i have ever used.

Not sure about the TPI, but I'm currently enjoying the Spec Roubaix Pro 30/32 tyres I'm using. Light enough, decently fast and appear hard wearing. Not that expensive ether.

IME trying to find a true 32c is hard. I am pretty sure a 32c Four Seasons will be about the same width as a 28mm GP4000.

My Hutchinson Sectors run very fast and the 32c comes up at about 30c on a 23mm rim. Wiggle have/had them on offer and these are a tubeless tyre.

Vittoria Voyager Hyper. Planet X are selling them very cheap. They come out wide - more like 33mm on my 17mm internal width rims for a nominal 32. They are quicker than many racing tyres, on a par with Conti Grand Prix and Michelin Pro4 Service Course, according to bicyclerollingresistance.com Here's the review:

These are currently 15 quid a pop at Planet X too...
  • Been using Schwalbe Kojaks on my mountain bike for commuting, nice and grippy, roll very well. They are available as a 700x35, just got a pair to use on one of my road bikes, but haven't tried them yet. Might be what you're looking for.

Clement strada LGG 32mm are very good.

    Review off the 28mm ones

Im running them @ 50 psi, & could run the lower for the bad roads locally.

Hypers have poor grip in the wet, as I found out when I crashed though a hedge and into into a tree

Another make of high end large volume road tyre worth considering, if you can afford £47.99 each, is Compass, an American brand by cycling guru Jan Heine and made in Japan. There have been very favourable reviews. You can get them in the U.K. from Velo Vitality. http://www.velovitality.co.uk/collectio ... 0c-x-32-mm

Bike Radar forum had a discussion on Challenge v Compass here: viewtopic.php?t=13030873

I see Moonbiker was at that time recommending Vittoria Voyager Hyper - no doubt before he came off and hit a tree. I must say my Hypers seem fine in the wet but I've only had them a few weeks.
