Ever wondered what the inside of your cherished steed looks like?

Came across this vid on YT where a guy cuts up carbon bike frames and critiques the workmanship. I was shocked to see inside the SR - being an owner myself. I would recommend watching the whole vid but clip of SR starts at 6.00.

No, can't say I've ever wondered what either of my bikes look like inside. Probably scare myself sh1tless if I saw how thin my CR1-SL was in places. Seen the vid before though.0

I have seen that before, don't have a plastic bike, though found it interesting. Mr Carbon seemed less than impressed with some of the frames and forks thou but.0

Yes, seen that one. It's interesting I guess. Don't really want to think about it too much.0 -
Not really no. I've seen them laying down CF frames before - I'm not bothered what they look like on the inside. I just like riding them.0

When you lay out the amount of cash you do for an SR I presumed internals would be super clean and tidy so that's why this was such a shock to me - it's probably the worst in vid.0

I am glad they are not all shiny and perfectly laid on the inside .. I think I would rather my money spent else where on the bike rather than polishing the inside of the frame.0

"Cherished steed" "shocked" and "fascinated" are excellent words though.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Yep. Think I'll insist on an all-steel airplane when I next fly. Maybe one of those polished 1960's jobs.0 -

It's not even that fascinating though. I suppose a 2 or 3 out of 10 on the interest scale if you're being generous.....Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am
