    my solution is simple effective and warm. forget boots, just buy a pair of sealskinz the ones with the rubbery grip at the top. your feet should be toasty and if anything does work its way in it doesnt make you cold.

    plus you look hard as nails.

    Yep. The boots are good for cold weather, not wet weather. Let's face it 95% of the time a wet and windy westerly doesn't need a winter boot ..... a dry easterly does.

    The problem with all these boots is that they have two massive holes in them where your legs go. They point upwards so when it rains, in the water goes.
