small & xs whyte hardtails

I have been trying without success to find a shop that stocks small and XS compact Whyte hardtails. I just want to find out what size to order. I would feel a numptie if I just ordered a bike and it turned out to be the wrong size.
I'm a road cyclist (48cm frames) planning to buy my first MTB.
Any suggestions where I might find a bike in the Midlands? Tried Broadribb Leamington - no bikes that small. Tried Red Kite, Solihull - they had a medium, which seems almost ok but a bit big.

compare the geometry of the bikes to something local and see what they feel like.0
