Really good interview in the Grauniad* with Victoria Williamson about her recovery from the horrific crash she was in last year. Be warned - graphic description of injuries (I wibbled a bit)

It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

Wow, I remember reading she'd had a bad crash but didn't realise it was that bad.
Serious mental toughness required as well as physical to put yourself back into a competitive situation after an accident like that. I wish her the best of luck for a full recovery and resumption of her career.

good to see shes recovered enough to be back training again, and fortunately doesnt remember much about it, horrible accident and horrible injuries.

not wholly convinced about the going to Rio bit, that form wasnt showing at Cali only 6 weeks before the crash, and cant believe theyd have sent her to Rotterdam to have had that crash in the first place if that had been the case as she'd have been over at the Track World Cup in Hong Kong trying to help the team sprint who desperately needed to qualify instead, absolutely her aim was to to have gone for the second spot, but thats not quite the same thing is it ?

but its difficult to read too much into anything like that, whilst BC have their PR gurus on board at the moment,

Should I correct my wife when she says that she's 'going out with the girls' ? - just askin' like...

I don't think I know your wife but I would say that's probably a bad move. Makes me wonder if wcf is married, or still married if he asked a question like that.
Do people get all uppity if someone says "he's a good lad" in the same way?

Interesting interview, thank you sausage, amazing strength of mind to go through all that and carry on.
