Building a TT Bike - Questions

Have decided my project for the next few months will be building a TT bike on the cheap…

Having done a bit of research, I just have a few questions I need to be 100% on before I start buying stuff.

Bottom Bracket
- I’ve got a Quarq Dfour PM which is designed for GXP bottom brackets
- I’ll need to be able to transfer this to the TT bike
- What BB types do I need to steer clear of to avoid compatability issues? BB30 crops up a lot, I think they are convertible to GXP-friendly?

Brake and Shifter levers

- Assume any tt-specific brake levers will work? Likely to get some generic Shimano 105 calipers/similar. However Shimano TT brake levers are v expensive
- Any good alternatives to shimano for 11spd tt shifters?

Stems & Bars

- Most of the frames I’ve found so far come without stem + bars
- Are TT stems essentially the same as road bike stems?
- What’s the best way of buying tt bars?

Seat Post
- Again, some come with, some without. Is there much variance in aero-seatpost dimensions, eg could I buy a frame and then struggle to find a seatpost that fits it?

Think that’s it for now.

TBH if you go on the TT forums you can pick up an old TT bike for a song. Probably cheaper than buying bits.
