10 speed wheel on a 9 speed bike
I have been looking through previous post on this subject, but I thought I would ask to clear.
My mnate has a 9 speed sora on his bike but can get a really good price on a 10 speed wheellset.
Is it up to him if he wants to either:
Take out a spacer from the 10 speed cassette
or
Take his 9 speed cassette off and swap it on to to the 10 speed wheel hub with a spacer?

The second option.
According to this no spacer required with the 9 speed cassette on a 10 speed freehub, 1.85mm spacer required if it is an 11 speed freehub.

8,9 & 10 speed are all the same freehub body. Needs the spacer if it's an 11 speed freehub.0
