Gatorskins 28mm tyres or are they?

Just bought Gatorskins 28mm tyres to replace my Gatorskins 25mm tyres. Once fitted they didn't look any wider, so I measured them and they seem to be only 25 or 26mm wide at most, and they just look the same width as the 25s on my other bikes. Anyone else found this with Gatorskins?

I went the other way - 28 down to 25 and I did notice a difference. Not much though
