2009 Whyte 905 or...?

Hello guys,

Roadie looking to get into a bit of off-roading here! Nothing serious- just don't want to put Lycra on to go to the shop/ have fun downhill. This would possibly lead onto becoming more serious if I enjoyed it.

I have a 2009 Whyte 905 in my sights. It's completely stock. How much would you be prepared to spend on one of this year?

I would need it shipped, so wouldn't inspect it before hand. But I think the seller may accept £250. It seems in decent nick.

Any other recommendations on bikes?

I've looked at the voodoo hoodoo and would be prepared to buy one used up to £200. But if I'm spending that, then why not spend more for something nicer on the used market?

Whyte 901
Cube ltd
Cube acid
Cube attention

I LOVE the look of the Cotic soul- and could get a used one for around £500. Worth it?
