Noisy free hub.

I have a rear Novatech hub and the free hub is quite loud and I was wondering if it is possible to change the free hub for a quieter one and not the whole hub?

I've never done anything with hubs/ wheels so haven't a clue!

You can add grease to the feehub mechanism to quieten the noise, have a read of this thread, page 9, start at the twelfth post down and page 10, first 2 posts.

Ignore the part about removing a pawl, this shows you how to remove the freehub.

I run Novatech hubs and did the smear of grease fix.....works fine, no issues and nice and quiet.

Not too much or you could gum up the pawls, hub will be silent but lack a bit of drive.
