Bkool Smart Pro and Zwift

Does anyone own a Bkool Smart Pro and have successfully paired with Zwift?
I've been trying all day and Zwift just can't see it.On Zwifts FAQ page it states that the Bkool has to be manually changed to Ant+FE-C.
I uninstalled and reinstalled it but I still can't find "Manual Pairing" anywhere!!
I'm waiting for a reply from Bkool but they're not usually particularly quick with their responses!

I don't have,or at least cannot find this option in settings.I'm running V3.12 but from what I've read on various internet hits my Bkool simulator is different to the screen shots I've seen!
- Go to Bkool Indoor > Settings > Pairing devices manually.
- A list of devices will be shown, including the trainer.
- Click on the blue button to change to the ANT+ protocol.
- Check the box to the right and then click "Apply".

I did (on my Smart Go) - using an iPad/bluetooth - I run the Bkool simulator on the laptop on Ant+
Sometimes I have to reboot the laptop to get it to recognise any Ant+ devices - including my HRM.
If you're running anything else - like Garmin Connect - that can tie up the Ant+ receiver - so make sure that's not running in the background.0 -
I always logout/close Garmin Connect so I'm sure that's not the issue.
It recognises the Ant+ when using Bkools simulator it's just Zwift that doesn't pick it up.0 -
I'll try and have a look later - I don't use Zwift atm - but could try pairing up.0

I've just had a totally unhelpful email from Bkool telling me ho to check what version I'm using but not answering any of my questions!
I know how to check the firmware and I know it's the current version!0 -
OK after some tooing and frowing with Bkool we've established that Ant+ FE-C protocol is enabled and my Firmware is the current version so it looks like the issue could be with Zwift.
I'm waiting for a reply from Zwift support,0 -

You could also try the FB Zwift Riders .. post a question there... it has a lot of footfall so someone probably has managed it.0

Someone on there and a few others I've spoken to think the dongle is at fault.Going to try a Garmin Dongle later!0 -
I use the Suunto dongle in a Macbook - only issues I've had I mentioned earlier.
I also tried Zwift on an iPad using bluetooth - worked fine - only reason I wouldn't use it all the time is that my heartrate monitor is Ant+ only.0 -

My dongle works perfectly well with a friends Tacx trainer and Zwift so the obvious culprit is the trainer itself as Zwift can't find it using either my dongle and my mates Garmin dongle.
Back to emailing Bkool support.0 -

Back to emailing Bkool support.
Never been a fan of BKool, their offering is just .. strange .. with some many different gotchas and stuff that works in strange ways and is incompatible. My advice is try to return it and get a Tacx or Wahoo model.0 -

I think we might have found the problem.Just waiting for confirmation from BKOOL but it's starting to make sense now :roll:0 -

I had the same problem with my new Bkool Pro, What Bkool don't tell you is that their new app for Windows or Mac is not including the option to update the trainer to FE-C, so what I had to do after writing many times to Bkool support was that a person from Bkool support contacted me and installed remotely the update with a tool they have. This can only be done on Windows platform.0 -
Hi, I'm really struggling with this issue also. I've been back and forth with BKOOL and I managed to get the firmware updated on my BKOOL Smart Pro training which then allowed me to pair Speed, Cadence & power sensors with Zwift but would not let me pair controllable resistance trainer. I am using Zwift on an iPad Pro with a Wahoo ANT+ dongle I even bought a lightening cable extender so that I could place the ant+ dongle about 5-10cm away form the back of the trainer.
Everything works correctly using the BKOOL simulator...
even though I can pair speed/power/cadence with Zwift in reality its completely off the mark. I hammered it up box hill the day and was only getting 3-5mph, I was in my top gear absolutely going for it and finished the climb in 29 minutes which is a joke as I finish the real hill in around 10 minutes on a mountain bike tandem.
Any help/guidance would be very much appreciated because I'm running out of patience to keep on plugging away at this. I've already spend a lot of money on a home setup and don't really want to go out and buy a PC to host this instead of an iPad. please help.

I gave up and bought a Tacx.
I use the Tacx for Zwift and the BKool if me or the lad wants the Simulator.0
