Has anyone had any experience of converting any of the liteskin tyres to tubeless or is it better to go for the snakeskin? The snakeskin models are heavier than the liteskin but tubeless is something I would like to try.

Yup, I have used lots of liteskin, the sidewalls are a little porous so after inflation hold the wheel flat and 'swirl' it round then flip and repeat, may take one or two rides for them to seal and I check the pressures before each ride but will take it for the weight saving.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

I found also inflating to the tyres max. pressure helps sealing porous walls, then you have to do what Rookie says the tubeless dance.
