    That's why the other half was keen to drive. When we stayed in a winery in Tuscany we had flown there so she couldn't bring any wine back.
    However 6 weeks later all the cases of wine kept arriving at the house :lol:

    Unfortunately you will also find that the same bottle tastes better there than once imported... it's subtle but it blends with the arid nature of the terrain, climate, local smell in the air etc... once you put it on a table in Coventry it's out of context and surprisingly it does taste different

    I have pretty much given up importing wine for that very reason, although it's still better than the supermarket plonk
