Late Morning/Afternoon and evening rides are so much nicer, especially in Summer

Whilst I'm an early starter at the weekend I totaly agree during the week. There is nothing better than coming home from work in the sun, throwing on shorts and a top and going out for a spin. It makes it totaly acceptable to crack a cold beer when you get home.

No so much when your ride finishes at 10.30am.
    Advocate of disc brakes.
  • Evans Ride It are usually these times, which seem typical:

    Start Times

    Registration - 08:00-10:00
    Short & Medium - 08.30 - 10:00
    Long - 08.30 - 09:30
    Event Closes - 17:00

Those start times seem absolutely fine.

The OP shouldn't take up time trialling or Ironman Triathlon.

If it's closed road it's so they can reopen the roads ASAP.

Otherwise it's so they have no traffic so there's less chance of drivers complaining and getting the event cancelled.
