Do hybrid bikes with disk brakes have a different sized hub to bikes with rim brakes? I need to order a rear wheel for a disk braked hybrid

No they have hubs with disc mounts.

It might help to be more specific. What bike? You could just measure the space between dropouts.

Disc hubs are almost guaranteed to be 135mm, rim hubs are most likely 130mm or less.

Stuart, the disc mounts is the pertinent bit. You cannot mount a disc to a non-disc hub.

Rim braked could be 130 or 135mm OLD rear (or even narrower on older or track bikes), Disc brakes are probably 135mm but some 130mm disc hubs exist.

    A 12" rule works wonders!
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Could be, would be, maybe. It helps to be specific. There could be a bloody hybrid out there with boost hubs for all I know.
