Disc Brake upgrade to Stumpjumper

Hi All
New to the forum, so please be kind!
I have a Specialised Stumpjumper that I have had for many years, from around 2007. It has V brakes fitted and Fix Forks but also has the lugs for disc brakes on the rear frame hanger and also the front forks.
I'm looking to upgrade the wheels and brakes to discs, but have no idea what the fittings are for the disc brake callipers are they IS??
Any help on the size for the mounts and the best to go for would be great
Thanks

My suggestion would be to take your bike along to your nearest bike shop and ask them there - they can tell you how much it will cost and how big a job it is - even if you then decide to purchase online and fit them yourself...0

Most new brakes are post mount, so you'll need IS to post mount adapters in whatever size you want. 160mm rear and either 160 or 180mm front are most common for that type of bike. Front and rear sizes are different.

I was weighing up the cost of changing brakes or a new bike, but the old stumpy frame is too good not to upgrade and spend a little on it. Looked at hope hubs, had them in the past on a Turner Afterburner but may need to go more towards Shimano XT budget. Any reckmmendations on hubs and rims for XC riding?0

You can get a set of clarks M2 brakes with discs and adaptors and bolts for £35 off eBay, just fitted some on my commuter, very impressed with the performance so far.
Wheel wise have a look at the options on the Superstar components website, they have something at good value to suite all budgets, on-one is also worth checking for their crazy end of line offers.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
how much do you want to spend as you could get some deore m615 brakes for not much money on places like chain reaction cycles etc and then get the is to post mount adapters and discs.
As your bike is 26" check out ebay I got a set of hope pro 2 evo hubs on mavic rims for not a lot of money, just need to have a look about.0 -
What axle size does the front fork use? I'm pretty sure that the '07 Enduro had a 25mm axle. It's unlikely that the stumpjumper does but you need to know as I think it's pretty much an obsolete standard now. A mate has two sets of the forks and had to get hold of the hub as well as he couldn't find anything else that would fit.0

Thanks
The forks are QR, so doubtful 25mm
But going to check in case0 -

If it's a QR then there's no way it's 25mm, that would need a thru-axle.0 -
Yep QR so not thru axle.0
