I have an aluminium frame that i would like powder coating. I have always used Derwent Enamellers in Derby but they are no longer doing business, does anyone have any other recommendations? This is a winter bike frame,I'm not wanting to spend lots.
Cheers Paul.

I'd give these guys a call - based in Long Eaton so should meet your Derbyshire criteria

I called them a year or so ago when I was contemplating having a Genesis Equilibrium frame powder coated.
They were really helpful but I got the impression that you needed to be happy with the range of colours they normally use for their larger batch coating runs. Essentially the bike frame is just added as an extra with other items being processed at the time.
I seem to recall that doing it that way was relatively cheap - less than £100 IIRC, which included all the pre-preparation and masking of sensitive areas like the BB internals. Don't quote me on that price tho' as I'm not 100% sure.
I was after a cheap and cheerful job so they may offer custom coating for more money.
My plans fell through when I realised that carbon forks and powder coating processing don't get along0 -
Thanks very much for the replies,i'll post up the finished result when done.

Not Derby, but Birmingham - can post the frame.
I think,they charge about £45 for a bike frame.
I used them for a set of alloy wheels and for £80 they did an amazing job.My winter bike is exactly the same as my summer bike,,, but dirty...0 -
