105 (5800) 11-32 cassette/derailleur Q
Hi guys,
I have a Shimano 105 (5800) 50/34 front and 11-28 cassette setup on my bike I use for events. I’m based in Hertfordshire and this is totally fine for the sportives and hills around my way and the South East generally, however I hope to do Fred Whitton this year and feel I should change the rear cassette to a 11-32.
Q – do I need to change the rear derailleur as I am currently running the short cage ?
I’m lucky enough to be running 2 bikes with 105, my commuter has a longer cage derailleur (also running 11-28 cassette) that I could swap over if it’s necessary.
Cheers
Matt
