Hi
I have realised my new steed has a durace cassette not right for my needs, it's a 25 but I really need a 27 or 28.
If I bought Ulegra or 105 cassette would I notice the difference or should it really be Durace???

  • I think it's very unlikely you'd notice a difference over Ultegra.

A Dura Ace cassette is 100% not worth the extra money. Ultegra isn't worth the extra money either! The 105 cassette is perfect, just a little heavier.

The 105 cassette will weigh a few grams more. It hasn't got any titanium sprockets, so it's harder wearing. It's a far more sensible purchase.

Then sell the Dura Ace one on here; some people care about weight / bling / posing / matching groupset components, and you should turn a tidy profit.

I'll be selling the Durace cassette for certain now.

I generally use Ultegra cassettes as I find the 105 ones are more prone to rusting if damp after a ride.....
FFS! Harden up and grow a pair :D
