Lincoln Sportive 2017

Anyone with experience of this event?

Son is keen to go for it as he lives in Nottingham so not far to go. He did the Cymru Etape 2 years ago and fancies another event. Any observations please?

    Climbs seem to be short and not too many of them. I did the Etape Cymru too... much hillier, if it's not too far, Etape du Dales?

    This is a really good sportive. I've done it a few times over the last few years. As you would imagine, with the ride being in and around Lincoln, most of the ride is almost pancake flat. However, part of the ride goes through the Lincolnshire wolds and that's where the climbs are. Very picturesque roads with hardly and traffic on. The ride also finishes off going up Michaelgate in the centre of Lincoln which is a famous steep cobbled climb. A real test when you've got nearly 100 miles in the legs !
