I have a Dura Ace groupset with a 12 - 28 cassette (11 speed). I want a cassette that will give me another gear for steep hills and wanted an 11-32 or 12-32 but the rear derailleur is only good for a sprocket up to 30 teeth. Anyone know of a compatible 11 speed cassette with a 30 tooth sprocket?

The new Dura Ace cassette comes in a 11-30t range. If that doesn't help then depending on your current setup you could always change the front chainrings.

I would give it a try, most Shimano specs are very conservative, I'm running an XTR designed for a max 34t on a 40t on the MTB.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
  • FWIW, I'm using a Dura-Ace 7700 RD (9-speed derailleur that supposedly maxes out at 27t sprocket) with a 12-30 10s Ultegra cassette without any problem.

i ve used wth no issues, a 11-32 on an aeroad, using a 6800 ss rd, as a one off for a particulr hill climb last year for my daughters bike, to some extent, comes down to the frames hanger length, give it go.

a good indication is how close is the rd pulley to the 28t you ve got now?
