Brackets instead of the old fashioned joints?

Stumbled upon this the other day while on Facebook. Opinions?

Wouldn't the stiffness be compromised by these brackets? How would the carbon tubing be mounted?

As they've raised very little and the fundraising is about to end obviously people know junk when they see it, sometimes.

Perhaps if they hadn't tried going gangsta with the gun stuff...

2700 EUR for a bike that hold the cables together using zipties?

EDIT: I almost feel sorry for the 7 poor souls who combined have parted with over 1000 euros...

And a disc on the rear, caliper up front? Weird.

It is probably a prototype, but do you really want to advertise your product in such a way?

No, he's deinvented them. They will be both heavier and focus stresses.

For someone who likes to live wild & free, we’d build a lighter and stiffer frame
Using those brackets? Lighter and stiffer than an old gas pipe frame maybe!

Just because you can, it doesn't mean you should - stupid idea.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Accident waiting to happen with the 'just take the bike to pieces to fly' idea.

Weird that he's clearly spent a lot of time on this and not realised why it's a bad idea.
