Well what sort of riding will be be doing, will you actually be riding Enduro's?
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

You won't want an enduro bike then. Something like the Transition Scout is much better. I used to have one and everywhere except the nastiest trails (nastier than bikepark black trails) the Scout was better than my enduro bike (Transition Patrol). If I was buying another bike I'd definitely go back to the Scout.
Short travel and super slack is definitely the way to go.

The YT Capra is the worst of the two you mentioned . It's a real tank of climbs.
I looked at buying the Propain but after reading a few owner reviews I was put right off it.

Depends where you look. The Transition Patrol, Giant Reign, Nukeproof Mega275, Mondraker Dune and Specialized Enduro have also been given Enduro bike of the year by different magazines and websites!

A mate who is younger and fitter than me has a Capra, usually on climbs he's faster than me (usual ride is a Liteville 301) but when he wheels out the Capra he insists on going up climbs behind me as he says he needs the extra incentive of me not pulling away to keep going - yup its a tank up hills.

With RMSC, for what you describe an Enduro bike may sound sexy but will be harder work on the uphills and less fun and no faster on the downs. something around 130-140mm would be much better (such as the Scout but other bikes fit the bill).

It's surprising what a modern short travel, slack trail bike can do. There's nothing at Bikepark Wales I wouldn't do on my old Scout, including the pro lines.
