Recommendations for Full suspension Bike

Hi all,
I am looking to upgrade my current hard tail for a new full sus. This would be the first full sus I have owned so I am somewhat of a beginner in the market. I have a budget of roughly £1000-£1500. I know this would only be entry level, but that would suit me fine as I only ride red trails and some black trails when I'm out.
My current bike has 120mm forks. Should I bother upgrading this on the new bike?
I had looked at cube bikes, specifically the Stereo 120 HPA Pro, and thought that they looked quite good. Am I right on this assumption or is this my inexperience of full sus showing? :P

Any ideas or comments are gladly received!
Many thanks

The Trance is a good all rounder, also look at the Boardman, can be had for £1k with discounts.

I've just bought my first full-sus and went for the Trance 4 because I found somebody selling it in perfect condition for £600. Really cannot fault the trance, was worried it wouldn't perform well on the climbs but it smashes them out, mine doesn't have rear lock-out but not a problem as the maestro suspension seems to know when you're climbing because it doesn't bounce or sag at all. The downhill on it is bloody awesome fun, it handles so much nicer than my hardtail (Merida big 7 100) and soaks up everything, it's really fast but still feel in complete control.

Whatever bike you decide to go for, just enjoy it!
  • I have a Boardman Team FS 650b 2014 and Cube Stereo 120 29er 2015 and both are really good.
