Sportive Disc Bike near 7kgs & £3k?

To be honest I probably don't need a new sportive bike as my 3yr old Boardman 9.8 SLS is still a great ride. But I'm tempted to add a disc brake bike to my stable. However, they seem to weight more than 8kgs, so I'm not sure it's worth the trade off?
As there any near 7Kgs for ideally no more than £3k?

Off the peg probably not, with upgrades, probably you can reach that figure, but then exceed the 3 K budget... unless you shop wisely in the Chinese wheels marketleft the forum March 20230

Rose? (though you might want to take their stated weights with a pinch of salt)

CAAD12 Disc Ultegra.
Change wheels to something like Hunt Aero Discs (£469) and put some Conti Lite tubes and light tyres, 7.5kg bike for around £2,200...
I've just started putting my CAAD12 Disc (56cm, 8,510g standard) on a diet and should see it at around 6.9kg with a total build cost of £2.6k. This is by no means the lightest build possible either, it is / will be my daily commuter.0 -

Agreed if I did go disc a move to Hunt wheels would be my first upgrade0 -
Is 1kg really that important to you?0

Only in the sense that my existing Boardman is about 7Kgs, and there's no point buying a new bike if it's going to be up to 1Kgs heavy than my Boardman. If I want to ride a heavier bike I'll jump on my Winter bike0 -
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0

I'd 100% go for the Canyon then!
There's still a lot of room for weight saving improvemts there too with saddle, innertubes, chain, bar tape etc...0 -
I think its a lot simpler to just buy a frame, then stick on Sram red and the Hunt wheels or Hed Ardennes GP and you should be close to 7.5kg. My synapse disc is around 7.1kg and cost under £2K0

I will choose the Rose.0

7.1kg?
Is that for the 105 equipped bike?
Can I ask what you have changed to take it down to that weight?
Ah, I misunderstood. You bought a frame and built it up?
Can I be nosey and ask how you have it kitted out?Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

Cervelo
Great bikes. In fact I already have two; 2006 Soloist and 2014 S3. And those eBay deals look good, but I'm the size of a small child so I ride a 51cm0 -

Yep that has crossed my mind especially as 3 of my existing bikes started with a frameset delivered in a box.0 -

Have you a build thread, would be interested in reading up on this.
I've just bought some carbon Mavics for mine... Can't wait to give them a blast.
As for comfort, just completed a 94km ride on my CAAD12 this morning and still feeling fresh. SUCH a good bike for the money.
