What a shame, he was a good signing for Fortuneo and a talented rider. But, as he says in the article, continuing would have been irresponsible.

Always sad when any rider has to retire prematurely for health reasons. Seem to have been a few heart issues recently.

Oh man, that's such a shame. He was definitely on the 'My Man' list for me. I really hope that his heart problems are treatable and he can still carry on cycling for pleasure.
