After months of trying to find time to get it all built up and parts switched over....I finally got it ready to ride today.

It'll definitely do me until I'm more into road cycling and can afford an upgrade. Can't wait to get out on it now.

Nice looking bike. Take it from a fellow Allez owner, there will be no need to upgrade it too soon, it will serve you well in your road cycling career. I still have mine now, having bought it almost nine years ago. I have a couple of other bikes now but can't let the Allez go.

Much appreciated. The only thing I would like to do is upgrade the gearing. The frame I took the parts from had Claris shifters, with Sora front and rear mechs. Id like to upgrade from 16spd to 20spd (which I presume would be 105's). The wheel set originally had a 10spd cassette on, so luckily I know they can take 10spd.
  • nice looking bike there. I bought an Allez back end of last summer with Tiagra 10 speed, can't fault it to be honest, you want it to change gear, it changes. Every time. I did change up to 105 callipers as the Axis 1.0s fitted had bad reviews but I won't be upgrading until it's needed, very pleased with the performance.

One of the many strong points of the Allez is that the frame is decent enough to be worthy of upgraded components.
