So both of these bikes are pretty much good for value but which should I pick to purchase?

Both have my size and I have the money to buy either but I'm left stranded as to the one to buy? Both have the same groupset with minor ameliorations but the other is a carbon frame which is not so less in weight than the other so it doesn't bother me.

(£717)

(£838)

Bike choice is personal, so what one person recommends may not be to your liking. Go and have a look at both and if you can, get a test ride. Why are you set on Ghost when there are plenty of others out there in that price range with full Ultegra?
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

Is this the same thread about Ghost that has been posted in Road General?

Never seen or even heard of them.

You will not find a £700 bike with full Ultegra lol. Show an example
  • out of those two I'd go for the carbon one. Excellent price for the weight and the only difference between 105 and ultegra is a couple of hundred grams in weight...and a couple of hundred pounds in money too.

Really? They are quite a well respected brand in Germany. I used to see loads of them over there. Actually a very good brand that gets not much attention in the UK.

This is a geat looking bike and spec (although I`m sure the bars wouldn`t actually be that shape in reality)

I bought my son a Ghost MTB type bike and its really good, certainly better than my daughters Giant.

And go for the carbon one !

    Cheers

Throw a dart in a dartboard. Odd number, then buy the 1st bike, even number buy the second. If you miss the dartboard take up snooker.
Rose Xeon CDX 3100, Ultegra Di2 disc (nice weather)
Ribble Gran Fondo, Campagnolo Centaur (winter bike)
