    I think I'm into my 14th year living in the Highlands and it's the first year that at this time of year there's no snow on Ben Wyvis - the 1050m hill we look towards. Normally I'd expect it to be snow-covered from October. Yesterday the temperature up here was well into double figures (Celsius). We normally struggle to see that in April. No sign of sub zero temps this side of Xmas.
