dinged/bent chainstay - time for a new frame, or get away with it

Took my chainstay protector off and noticed a largish ding in the chainstay. I've checked further and it is actually a bit bent.
This is a steel on one 456 and thankfully won't be too much to replace the frame, but do other people think it is necessary? I fear it is.

Story behind this is I whacked my pedal on a rock (& my toe, thankfully not too hard on that bit), and managed to move the pedal axle in the crank knackering the threading of the (race face narrow wide) crank.
I replaced the cranks with race face chester, today I took the protector off the chainstay to check the offset as I suspected I need to fiddle with it and noticed the dent.
I think what must have happened is when I hit the rock I managed to spring the crank arm into the chainstay (didn't notice any bends in it when I took it off).
So - thoughts please? Replacement frame would be about 135, but additional annoyance is transferring all the bits - I'd need to buy a headset cup remover as well.

With the fold in the edge of the ding, I wouldn't trust it.I don't do smileys.

It should be fine. Those On One steel frames are bombproof. It's a fairly low stress area and IF it fails, it won't snap, it'll bend.
Personally, I'd keep riding it. You should see the dent in my frame, it's double the size of that.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
