Garmin files

When i open the Garmin Edge 500 properties on my PC all the files that are in there for some reason Notepad is set to open all files but it cannot open any files, so how can i chance this and what is the default program to open these files?

    They are 'fit' file format.. not really readable in the normal sense such as notepad... so you dont need a default program.
    They are able to be imported into Strava Training Peaks Golden Cheetah Garmin Connect etc etc then the data is visible

    Are you are taking about the .fit files? There are programmes that will open them but unless you know what you are doing its best to us some of the online fixers. There is alot of info in these files and if make a mistake you can corrupt the file.

    Dc has a little list of online tools that can fix the file for you.
