Hi folks,
I've got t the Trek Fuel Ex8 2017 27.5+ but looking to get some mud-weather tyres.
Probably a stupid question but do I HAVE to get 27.5+ tyres? There isn't a massive selection and so I was hoping I could get 27.5 or 29 size?
Help much appreciated.
Thanks,
Luke

You can't use 29" tyres without new wheels. 27.5 will fit, but the rims are wide, so it's not ideal, and skinny mud tyres wouldn't work I don't think.I don't do smileys.

36mm wide rims: you'll have trouble fitting standard 27.5 tyres.
You're probably better off buying another set of wheels for winter use.“Life has been unfaithful

There's the reason why plus size bikes haven't taken off in the UK.
According to a friend in the industry, plus size is being phased out from 2018. Shops aren't buying in plus size stock because they can't shift it.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
