Morning all,

I have a Stevens san remo with a BSA 68mm / Hollowtech II.

I'm looking to install a Rotor 3D30 crank with q rings. So will http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/rotor-bsa-30mm-steel-bottom-bracket/rp-prod130466 work. Its says 3D+ but best i can tell there is no real difference in the 3D30 and 3D+. So looks to me like it will, but would rather get some advice first.

Thanks in advance!

  • Most people want to avoid BB30 like a pest, whereas you want to convert a BSA to take a BB30... what's wrong with the 3D24 cranks?

    Can you not return them?

    It seems a lot more money to get yourself into more trouble

  • If you can't return them the Rotor BSA30 bottom bracket will do the job http://www.velotechservices.co.uk/shop/Vprod3.asp?cat=239

    I am going to ask... if the actual BB30 crankset fits if you get these adapters?
    I'm thinking perhaps they make the shell width too wide..?
    let us know

    All the documentation on the Rotor site would indicate this should be ok and you need 1 x 0.5mm NDS spacer.

    I use a rotor BSA30 bb in my current BSA TT frame with a bb30 Quarq Elsa RS power meter (which also fits bbright)

    Works a treat!
