110 BCD chainring for fixed

So after 12 000 miles of low maintenance commuting/training/hacking a tooth on my chainring has broken off.
I have a 110 BCD chainset (Sugino pista), which seems very hard to find a decent SS/Track ring for. I also have a 110 BCD FSA gossamer in the spares bin I would like to use when the BB I am using finally dies.
Is there any good reason why I cant use a narrowide CX ring to replace it? Overkill I know but should give me the ability to buy something super durable like a hope retainer.

Are you completely certain that your sugino pista is 110mm BCD? I'm not convinced.
If it really is 110bcd, you might find it easier and better in the long run just buying a new SS chainset, Pista or otherwise.
I mean, a narrow-wide chainring will work, but it'll probably be noisy, because it is designed for narrow 10 or 11 speed chains, so your broad single speed chain will rattle around on it a bit.
I suggest getting the measuring tape out. 110mm BCD will have 64.7mm between the holes. The chart is here:

Stronglight do 110bcd up to 42t. I've never had an issue with their chainrings.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX

Stronglight do them, as do campag and there are cheap steel ones on eBay as well.
That said the one piece stronglight track cranksets are a decent option as well and not much more than a chainring.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
The chain set is defiantly 110 BCD. Its one of these in silver that came with the bike https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sugino-Pista-S ... B00IPG1TII
The only other 110bcd/44t ring I can find is this: http://www.spacycles.co.uk/m2b0s149p292 ... ral-34-44T but I worry as its not singlespeed specific its not going to be as durable.
I have no issue with using a 9 speed chain, I have a 1/32 sprocket I can use
You guys are right that it does seem silly to spend £40 on a ring when a new chain-set can be had for a similar amount.
Planet-x are doing a decent deal on this atm http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CSSTTR2K/s ... 0-crankset but it needs a 107 mm BB and i'm running a 103 mm so I guess ill need a BB as well and 2 hours of swearing to get the old one out!Giant TCR advanced 2 (Summer/race)

I'd just get a cheap, non-track ring. Something like one of these:

I've used them for some fairly serious fixed riding and they are fine.0 -

I replaced a outer shimano 10 speed 50 i bent with one of the these and they seem more robust.0 -
110BCD is a BMX size - here's a 44 one:
