The rear wheel on my Mango exploded last week after 3 years and 20k km of loyal service.

Need a new one, requirements are
- cheap
- functional

That's it. Basically only ride it to and from work when the weather's too crap for my nice bike.

Mango's own is £65, any others to look at?

No, but for a wheel that does 6500km / year in crap weather I'd be tempted to get a good one, not a cheap one.

probably nearer 3k a year now, but a lot more a year or two ago with different commute and other bikes in the garage.

I have had my eye on a Halo areotrack when mine wears out (the hub is not well sealed and is 3 years old now!). Once Xmas is out of the way I intend to get an areorage for the front of my fixie as the rims are getting a tad thin now.

A lot of people on here have rated vsprint custom wheels as well. Both options are around the £70-80 mark last time I looked.

    Merlin single malt fixie (Commuter/winter/training)
    Trek superfly 7 (Summer XC)
Giant Yukon singlespeed conversion (winter MTB/Ice/snow)
