Been using Crud Mk2 racer mudguards on my bike for the past 2 years but since moving to a new winter bike with less clearance and 25mm tyres, not 23, they are rubbing, a lot.

I would like to have a go at some clip-on type guards mostly for commutes. Found SKS blade, Lifeline essentials and Zefal swan guards.

Anyone recommend the above or better ones?

I've just gone to Crud 3's on my Carrera Vanquish. Just fits 25c Gatorskins. I've bought a Zefal Swan for my '85 Raleigh and put the Front Crud 2 on it as it fits the 25c Luganos on it. Hoping to get out on the Carrera this afternoon so may be able to give a proper test to them.

I was quite impressed, needs a little more adjustment and it's exceptionally tight clearances. I stayed clean and dry on some muddy and wet trails.

I got these too. Much much better than the mk 2 with better clearance. Still a bit fiddly to align but once you have them right they are brilliant.

they're cheap, easy to fit (on & off) and keep the mud and rain off you. They are also easy to clean and very durable.
